David Homel: One way of warding off fatigue when it comes to doing translations is the team approach, which is what I do. I am just finishing up my co-translation with Fred A. Reed of Monique Proulx's novel "Champagne," to be called "Wildlives" and published by Douglas & McIntyre. Also, with two other team-mates, Don Winkler and Jacob Homel (a relation of the author), I'm doing Alain Ehrenberg's history of depression called "La fatigue d'être soi," a work that's got us all feeling melancholy. Blame it on McGill-Queen's Press.
